Tastes change. People, especially young people, are becoming more design savvy.
So house builders are using construction materials and techniques not normally
associated with residential new build to create individual and modern properties.

An example is a Bellway
development in Hulme,
Manchester. There Spectus'
curtain walling has been used
to enhance new housing
aimed at young professionals
working in the city centre.
Installation was by Window
Systems of Leigh, Lancashire.
Managing Director Dave Smith
comments, "the design is
contemporary and the curtain
walling creates eye-catching
features that are thermally
efficient and cost effective.

"House buyers, particularly at the younger end of the market, are becoming more
interested in the design and layout of their homes. PVC-U is the preferred option of
house buyers of all ages. Inevitably, therefore, new, more creative ways of using
PVC-U systems will play an increasingly important part in house design. We are,
for example, seeing an increase in the use of coloured profile - grey in particular."

Spectus windows, doors and curtain walling are available through a nation-wide
network of fabricators. Dave says " We have work closely with Spectus many years.
It is a partnership that works. Spectus provided commercial and technical support.
We provide the on site expertise, client liaison and project management skills.
Spectus' fabricators provide the quality products we need to succeed."
