Code for Sustainable Homes
Spectus Window Systems 5 chamber design and 3mm wall thickness means that thermal U-values of 1.2 W/m2K are achievable to meet Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 and when utilising triple glazing Spectus can achieve U-values as low as 0.8 W/m2K producing super insulating high performance windows that meet the requirements of level 6 of the Code for Sustainable homes in a traditional opening-out casement window.
Spectus is good for the environment
Spectus is fully committed to the environmental standard ISO 14001 covering all environmental issues and is confined to the UK market minimising transportation and fuel consumption from wider exportation.
The BRE (British Research Establishment) has given PVC-u an A rating for domestic and an A+ rating for commercial properties, in its Green Guide to Specification and therefore a highly sustainable building product. The BRE estimates that PVC-u can be recycled up to seven times and has an expected service life of 35 years, as defined by the BRE life span assessment. It means you can specify PVC-u components for your projects with confidence, secure in the knowledge that they fulfil the requirements of all current and proposed legislation.
